Wearpurple Arts is run by Age UK and supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council, which gives people over the age of 50 the chance to learn new skills and gain confidence in their creative abilities.
Since the project started in March 2001, they have engaged local artists to work with individuals, groups, day centres and residential homes across Cheshire West. They believe that taking part in the arts can help to raise self esteem, confidence and motivation and have a positive effect on the persons well-being.
Wear Purple have teamed up with Men in Sheds and are offering a range
of FREE creative workshops planned for our sheds in Northwich, Chester,
Ellesmere Port and Crewe. Come along and find out more about the Men in Sheds project
whilst learning new skills; the events are free for men aged 50+ and
will be friendly, informative and fun.
