VAC Gallery - Visual Arts Cheshire

VAC is a Northwich arts organisation. They were formerly established in 93 Brunner Court (Witton Street, near the Library) and prior to that in the former Connexions offices at 98 Brunner Court. They are now without a current base and are negotiating with various agencies re finding a new town centre home.

They aim to provide a varied programme of exhibitions - in the first 2 years of our operation as a gallery they have had 17 different shows. Besides our exhibition programme they have also run a variety of workshops and are currently planning a number of taster training events with local groups who have asked VAC to deliver courses to their clients.

Their vision is to establish an arts centre in Northwich which will deliver a gallery programme including local, national and international residencies. They aim to provide educational facilities for workshops, courses and community projects.

VAC is a 'not for profit' co-operative run by volunteers working closely with 'Development of the Arts in Northwich' (DAN) - an organisation which promotes arts events for the people of Northwich and surrounding district.

They are supported by the Co-operative Business Hub and are grateful for the help and advice which Cheshire West and Cheshire Council (CWAC) have provided. They maintain a discount scheme for artists (see 'Discount' tab for more details) who make any donation towards our running costs.
