Founded in 1976, they are a club for photography enthusiasts and those who want to improve their photographic skills. From September to May they meet every Wednesday at the Dingle Recreation Centre, High Street, Winsford at 8.00pm for 8.10pm start.
They offer a varied annual Programme that covers everything from Camera Basics to Practical Sessions to Competitions. As part of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) they regularly view folios of a cross-section of high quality images that hopefully educate and inspire. They welcome new members whether they are beginners or experienced photographers and invite you to come along for up to 3 meetings (£1.50 per meet) before you decide to join the club.
You may be one of those people who wish to improve their photography and editing skills. Whether you are an absolute novice or an experienced photographer being amongst like minded people can help your photography to flourish. They have regular lectures in which good advice is given on different aspects of photography. Their members are also experienced in different fields of photography and can pass on their expertise. They have competitions which are judged by external judges where you can promote your photography and have it independently assessed. As you stay with us month by month you will be able to check how your photography is improving. They are there to assist you as much as you want to be assisted. It is fair to say they are not a teaching college but membership could complement a photography course.
